Clean Never Felt So Good
An Investment in Your Oral Health
Dental Hygiene
There’s a lot more to oral health than having a healthy looking smile. Equally important is having healthy teeth, gums and the underlying structure of the mouth including the bones. That’s where a team of dental professionals can help.
At Brosy Family Dentistry, our Reno-based dental hygienists sbring more than 55 years of experience to the practice, which means you’ll get the top dental care in northern Nevada when you visit us. With Dr. Erin Anderson at the helm, your teeth and oral health become our top priority. See how we can help.
The Brosy Approach to Dental Hygiene
Dental hygiene is a team effort. From the skilled staff of hygienists including Jill, Wendy and Sherí to Dr. Anderson all the way to you, our valued patient, it takes collaboration to achieve top oral health. During your visit to Brosy Family Dentistry, we can provide periodontal cleanings and treatment or refer you to one of our recommended specialist partners.
One of our primary roles in preventative dentistry is to help you establish a healthy personal oral hygiene routine. This will involve showing you the proper way to brush and floss. We’ll also discuss ways to keep your gums in tip-top shape, regardless of your age or how long it’s been since you’ve visited a dentist. After all, gums are essential to your overall health.
When it comes to brushing, moving the brush in gentle circular motions is vital to removing plaque and keeping your teeth bright and shiny. Just as important as brushing is flossing. While some patients may only do so occasionally, it’s important to floss every day. This stimulates the gums while getting into hard-to-reach places that your toothbrush can’t quite angle into. Dr. Anderson will also advise you on mouthwashes and offer dietary tips (hint: lots of crunchy vegetables are involved!) and council you on keeping your sugar intake to a minimum.
If you haven’t visited the dentist in a while, please schedule an appointment or call us at 775-826-1988 today to get back on the road to excellent oral health. And if you’re already a patient, stop by and see us soon!
